Feasibility Study

Leading on from our oral history project, Sharing our Past, Building our Future, we move into a new phase in Spring 2025. A feasibility study managed and funded by ScotRail, Network Rail and the Railway Heritage Trust based in York will explore the detailed pros and cons of converting the station building into flats, with the intention of these will, in the future, become homes for local people and incoming workers.

As everyone who lives in a rural area like ours knows, creating housing for local people is a major challenge, and yet it is so important if we are to keep our communities alive.

Blair Atholl & Struan Community Council is giving this initiative its full support, as is Perth & Kinross Council and the Highland Mainline Community Rail Partnership.
